Out, open, and honest. Great chapter.

Michael and David? Yeah that was done to rub it Brian's face. Michael marrying someone Brian didn't care for, I don't think Brian really cares. One arrogant ass deserves another.

A good talk is welcome.  Gus and Patrick meeting should prove interesting.

So, how old was Gus when Michael was in his 'conditioning' stage? Five... maybe six? When Gus said: I wish you were dead ... why don’t you just disappear ... He’s done nothing but take from us and gives nothing in return ... they were all the same things Brian punched Michael for before. You knew Gus was just repeating what Michael had said to him. But, IF Gus was... let's say six... that's some pretty awful words to come out of the mouth of one so young. And whether Emmett and Ted weren't talking to Justin at that point, HOW could they stand by and allow Michael to say those things to Gus?

How does Ted as Brian's accountant, not be privy to some of Brian and Justin's life? And, I thought Brian and Justin have been together since Patrick was a baby. Why did Brian say: It won’t matter since I’ll be living here with Justin and plan to move Kinnetik here. It sounds like they haven't been together.

Yippee! I hope Michael brings David all sorts of nightmares! How could David be so stupid? How long have they been back together? The timelines in this story just all seem to be messed up to me. If Gus is twenty-one, LOTS and LOTS of time has passed, yet it sounds like things are JUST NOW happening.

Michael's whininess ended up ruining Brian's, Ted's, and Emmett's relationships. I hope he's happy with himself. I hope somewhere done the line when he screws David over, or David gets tired of holding it while he pees, or wiping his ass, Michael ends up on skid row.

I have no love lost for Melanie either. She has been so wrong all these years. Brian said she would have lost if he fought it... he should have fought it and gotten Gus the hell out of there! Away from both her and Michael's poison.

I'm angry at Brian in this story, and I still think he needs to atone for so much. No way should he have allowed Gus' anger to go on for all these years without sitting him down and making him listen. Why not do that after Michael was gone? Again, the timeline seems screwy.

I both LOVE and loathe the backstory from Brian and Justin's point of view. Hell below what an absolute NIGHTMARE Michael Novotny-Cameron is! David is an ass, who deserves every bit of trauma that's going to befall him with having Michael reenter his life. It's funny, but David is just too old NOT to realize that in most cases, an ex is an EX for a reason.

Anyway, I'm glad that Brian and Justin found a way to be together after all the turmoil, and without the family crawling all over their relationship. Was definitely sad to learn that Ted had relapsed for a time, but hopefully he's doing better. Also sad to know that Em's life is basically stuck in 'Park'. As for Meanie- I mean MELANIE- between her and Michael, I just don't know who's worse! Honestly, I would have expected that she would have let go of her bitterness, and the need to control everyone else's life by now, especially considering what her viciousness had so obviously done to another person. No Lindsay wasn't innocent, but Mel had her shit with her, too. I would have thought that she would have seen that, or that someone would have pointed it out to the shrew.

And WHEW! The little glimpse of Jenny that we did see just proved that having the DNA of both, Michael and Melanie, has created a Tyrant-in-Training. I wonder what would happen if/when Jenny begins to treat Melanie as Mel has treated everyone else herself. Nope, I don't see that situation going so smoothly at all!

Absolutely looking forward to MORE!

HAPPY WRITING and HUGS,

~Chelle

Whoa! Powerful, dense, surprising, comforting chapter!

My favorite part is from Brian appearing on Justin's door to Patrick welcoming him. It's like honey on an irritated throat. So soothing.

Poor Gus who went thru hell and didn't get much comfort from his parents. Michael had him well trained so he was able to spew his venom to Justin.

Poor Jenny, also between nasty parents.

Poor Lindsay, almost alone with dismissive parents and wife.

Deb is the one who navigated the whole mess without too much damage; she was able to keep up with Justin and maintain a tiny, but strong link.
